Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Vivek Chaudhary, who runs Rishtangan. By creating a profile you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Rishtangan is

Rishtangan helps people looking for a life partner, and their families, find and contact each other. It is meant only for finding a marriage partner, not for dating, business or any other purpose.

2. Who can use it

You must be of legal marriageable age in India: at least 18 for women and 21 for men.
You must be single, divorced, widowed or awaiting divorce, and legally able to marry.
A parent, sibling, relative or friend may create a profile for someone else only with that person’s knowledge and consent.
One profile per person. You are responsible for everything done with your account and phone number.

3. Your profile

Everything you share must be true, current and about the person the profile is for.
Photos must be of that person, recent, and not show anyone else’s face or anything indecent.
Don’t put phone numbers, email addresses, links or social media handles in your profile.
Moderators review new profiles, photos and edits. We may ask for changes, reject content, or hide a profile that breaks these terms.

4. Things you must not do

Create a fake profile, pretend to be someone else, or hide that you are married.
Harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone, or send sexual content.
Ask anyone for money, gifts or financial details, or run any scam.
Advertise, sell anything, or collect members’ information for any purpose other than finding a partner.
Share another member’s photos, chats or details outside the app without their permission.
Use bots or scripts, copy data from the app, or try to get around its limits or security.
Break any Indian law, including laws on dowry, which is illegal.

Please report anyone who does these things from their profile’s ⋯ menu. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. A suspended member can appeal once from the app, and a moderator will review it.

5. Your safety

We review profiles and offer ID verification, but we cannot confirm everything members say about themselves. Take your time, talk to the family, verify details independently, meet in public places first, and never send money to someone you met on the app. Rishtangan does not arrange marriages or guarantee a match.

6. Premium

Premium is a subscription bought through Google Play (1, 3 or 6 months). Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions). Cancelling keeps Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy.
We may change Premium features or prices; a price change applies from your next renewal, and Google Play tells you first.
If your account is suspended or removed for breaking these terms, unused Premium time is not refunded.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app or from this website. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law.

8. Limits of our responsibility

Rishtangan is provided as it is. We are not responsible for what members say or do, on or off the app, or for any decision you make based on another member’s profile. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the 6 months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app before important changes take effect. If you keep using Rishtangan after that, you accept the new terms.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Una, Himachal Pradesh.

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
